The requirements of cross-boarder trade within the European Union (EU) has become increasingly complex. The requirements for production, registration, supply and the marketing of food within the Member States require a unique skill set rarely deliverable via one company.
The Food Law Society (FLS) was formed to bring together Europe’s leading consultants in food law from across all member states providing an exclusive resource for the global food industry wishing to market products within the EU.
The FLS provides consultant’s access to the latest developments in food law through tracking EU regulations, directives and decisions and specific provisions at national level for each of the 27 member states. The FLS has access to the leading food law publications allowing us to keep each and every member involved in a program of continued professional development.
Through seminars, educational publications, and international conferences the FLS brings together Europe’s leading food law consultants to assist in an exchange of legal insights regarding the application of community law within the food industry.
One of the key roles of the FLS is to help bring together only those experts, which are leaders in their field and have the relevant experience to deliver the highest level of food law. The food law societies executive board of directors assess each application to join the FLS and only those with the required experience and qualifications are approved are granted membership to the FLS. This approach installs confidence to those companies searching for an unsurpassed industry standard of excellence.
The FLS promotes its members to the global food market though its online presence and unique relationships with FMCG companies and leading food and beverage trade press. |
